Moment Energy provides a clean, affordable, and reliable battery energy storage system (BESS) by repurposing retired electric vehicle batteries.
Located on a remote island in BC, there is no access to electricity at this site's property. This project was deployed in May 2021, and has been operating successfully since.
Our customer wanted to power his property at Quadra Island, with affordable and reliable energy. In this region, the sun shines abundantly during the spring and summer, making it a great location to receive solar power. To increase the efficiency of solar power, the customer decided to pair its solar array with our battery energy storage system.
Moment Energy’s battery energy storage system enabled our client to go completely off-grid and generate their own electricity using solar power. This pack is four times as large as the first project and provides valuable information on how Moment Energy's batteries perform in off-grid sites in a regular use case, and how it responds to different loads such as pumps, heaters, and household power loads.
The installation, testing and ongoing support for our new energy storage system was amazing and the team is committed to ensuring the system meets our needs and interfaces well with our connected solar devices and back up generator.
