VANCOUVER, BC — October 14th, 2025 — Moment Energy announced today that its Luna battery energy storage system (BESS) is the first in the world to be built with repurposed lithium-ion batteries and successfully tested through all key UL safety standards: UL 1973, UL 9540, and UL 9540A.
The result is the first-ever grid-ready, independently tested system designed by a battery repurposer, which helps commercial and industrial customers reduce demand charges, add backup power, and accelerate decarbonization, all while prioritizing safety and reliability.
