Moment Energy Selected to Present at the 2022 NREL Industry Growth Forum

Vancouver, BC — (April 13th, 2022) — Moment Energy is proud to announce it was selected to present its second-life energy storage systems to investors and industry representatives at the NREL 2022 Industry Growth Forum (IGF), April 13-14, in Denver, Colorado. The U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) hosts the IGF, now in its 27th year. It is one of the nation’s premier events for cleantech entrepreneurs and other industry experts. Moment Energy earned the presentation spot from a field of more than 150 entrepreneurs following an extensive selection process.

Moment Energy is repurposing retired electric vehicle (EV) batteries to provide clean and reliable energy storage. Their solution is available for utility companies and businesses in remote and urban communities that are currently diesel-dependent.

"Moment Energy continues to be a leader in the second life energy storage space as we create a circular economy for EV batteries. Being selected to speak at the Industry Growth Forum is an honour as it provides a platform to share Moment Energy's mission: to repurpose all EV batteries for second-life use by 2030. We are excited to build on our traction by showing how we are making the Electric Vehicle ecosystem more sustainable on a world stage."

Edward Chiang, co-founder and CEO of Moment Energy

The forum is a one-of-a-kind opportunity in the cleantech space—the premier event for cleantech entrepreneurs, investors, and experts from industry and the public sector to build relationships, showcase innovative technologies, and identify business solutions. NREL facilitates connections between cutting-edge startups, including Moment Energy, and motivated investors to drive innovation to market for impact. NREL is the only U.S. federal lab dedicated to renewable energy and energy efficiency research.

“We’re delighted with this year’s slate of presenters,” IGF Program Manager Sheila Ebbitt said. “They represent cleantech startups with high potential and we can’t wait for them to pitch to the investors and other market experts.”

More than 100 investors could hold up to 1,300 meetings during the two-day event.
