What you’ll be building and learning
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and develop the thermal system for our energy storage units. These units will be used in outdoor, harsh, and extreme environments and will require in-depth detailed analysis and testing. You'll be working on building out the systems that bring second life Energy Storage Systems to life!
Responsibilities:
Design of thermal systems for energy storage units in outdoor-rated environmentsDesign of mechanical components, subassemblies, and high-level system integrationSupporting overall architecture design decisions based on external client requirementsCreating 3D CAD models, assembly drawings, bill of materialsCreating manufacturability checklists and leading DFM reviewsSupporting failure analysis investigations and development of FMEADeveloping relationships with OEMs, vendors, manufacturers, and key suppliersMechanical design and documentation to support UL product certification
Useful Experience:
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in mechanical design and manufacturingExperience with thermal systems for energy storageExperience with DFx procedures throughout the design and manufacturing processExperience with energy storage certifications (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A)Managing engineering teams (hiring, supervising, training, managing tasks)

We are looking for a Lead Certification Engineer to own the processes and procedures for achieving product certification. You'll be working on building out the systems that bring second-life energy storage systems to life!
Responsibilities:
Manage certification timelines and responsibilities across multiple standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A)Build relationships with NRTLs and be the main point of communication throughout the certification processLead product compliance testing, develop test plans, analyze test resultsEnsure compliance with end-user markets and AHJ requirements (i.e. CEC, NEC, etc..)Create centralized documentation packages for product designs and conformance requirementsDefine and share requirements with engineering staff to support design for complianceWork with engineering design teams to address compliance from initial design conception, and remedy non-conformities
Useful Experience:
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in energy storage-related industryExperience with energy storage certifications (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A)Managing engineering teams (hiring, supervising, training, managing tasks) inside of a div block.
